this butterfly

many kisses that are sweet upon my lips
i give to thee these wings
that with love do unfurl.
never shall i walk with my heart alone
for i know now the wonder
of your true sweet and innocent love.

will you be afraid
if i touch you?
will you flee quickly into flight?

for i have met you
in true love
from only the beauty
of your smile
and i bask in the wonder
of its purity.

be that of friendship
and i will return such
and never forsake
nor deny you the same.

be that of good heart
and i will persuade you
never to turn to sorrow
but  i will inspire you
to mend your broken heart
and i will promise
that it shall never  be broken by me.

for our friendship
will be much like a chrysalis
to grow in time
and to bring forth
this beautiful creature
with colorful wings
it will fly high and be beautiful
and free
as you are
this butterfly i seek
